“Magic…simply magic,” beams Luciana Fasano as she talks about the 2011 U.S. Nationals and her two-time U.S. National Champion colt Elishahh. “He brings such excitement, such excellence, and such extraordinary presence that it’s hard to believe he is only two years old.”
The stunning bay colt is taking the show ring by storm and capturing the interests of successful breeders from around the world. In two years, Elishahh has claimed the biggest prizes available. As a yearling, Elishahh bested some of the world’s finest yearling colts and was named U.S. National Champion Yearling Colt. In 2011, Elishahh began his show season becoming the Supreme Gold Champion Junior Stallion at the prestigious Arabian World Champion Breeder’s Cup in Las Vegas. As Region 2’s Champion Stallion, Elishahh headed to Tulsa for a second U.S. National Championship.
“I was really nervous,” admits Elishahh’s trainer and handler Rodolfo Guzzo. “It’s not easy winning a U.S. National Championship two years in a row! But I was confident in Elishahh. He looked like a national champion. He was ready. I was ready and I couldn’t wait for the crowd to see him.”
When Elishahh entered the ring, heads turned, eyes focused and whispers followed him around the ring. “It was if there was no other colt in the ring,” acknowledges one competing stallion owner. The judges agreed and Elishahh was awarded his second title of U.S. National Champion.
Elishahh comes by his wins honestly. His sire is 3-time U.S. National Champion Eden C, who is sired by 3-time U.S. National Champion Enzo – a son of the legendary Padrons Psyche who was U.S. Reserve National Champion Stallion. Elishah’s dam is sired by the renowned Versace and out of a multiple national award winning daughter of the great Ali Jamaal. Significantly, the generations and number of world-wide national winners sired by these stallions are unparalleled.
Not only an accomplished show horse, Elishahh’s heritage predicts his success as a breeding stallion. His first foals are expected in 2012. And, like the generations before him, the Elishahh foals promise to be in the image of their national champion sire and the national champions before him.
“When I saw the very first image of Elishahh on a DVD as a young yearling, my entire body tingled with goose bumps. It was both a physical and emotional response to him. I knew immediately that we would be connected, that he would do great things, and that our journey together would be an extreme adventure,” states Luciana confidently. “Breeders from all parts of the world are booking their mares to him; some are wanting to buy him. What’s next? Well besides his foals and another shot at a third U.S. National title with Rodolfo Guzzo, you might just see him in Paris.” And why not, the Elishahh adventure has taken flight.
